Job Description:
Fabric Genomics is hiring a Bioinformaticist who focus on using bioinformatics tools, statistical analysis and machine learning techniques to analyze very large genomic data sets. You must be passionate about extracting insights from large data sets, and using quantitative analysis to answer complex questions.

You will collaborate with other scientists, software engineers and users to develop novel techniques for analyzing genomic data with the goal of developing actionable insight. We are looking for eager and hands-on candidates who can work effectively in a dynamic startup environment, and want to help shape the future of personalized medicine.

Responsibilities:

  • Design analysis pipelines for large-scale data analysis
  • Develop statistical algorithms to identify patterns in genome data
  • Develop analysis methods and visualizations to help users interpret data
  • Apply machine learning techniques to automate genomic data analysis
Requirements:
  • Experience developing software in Python, Perl, C/C++ or Java
  • Significant experience developing software for deployment on Linux/Unix
  • Experience with data management systems such as PostgreSQL and MySQL
  • Good knowledge of genomics and high-throughout sequencing applications
  • Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • PhD/MSc with strong background in computational biology, genetics, computer science, or related field
