We are currently seeking a Bioinformatics Software Engineer. This position will be responsible for the successful development, testing, documentation and deployment of cloud-based bioinformatics services and APIs targeting in-house data analysts, front-end developers and research scientists. Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and maintain in-house software for high-throughput bioinformatics pipelines and web services
- Document, test and release software services in a continuous fashion
- Bachelors in CS, Statistics or similar
- Strong software design experience and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently in a multi-disciplinary team
- At least 3 years professional software development experience in Python and/or Scala
- At least 2 years in Unix/Linux environments using Bash, Make and related Unix tools
- Experience using R/Numpy for data analysis
