Job Description:
We are currently seeking a Bioinformatics Software Engineer to support clinical operations and enhance analysis of DNA sequencing data for our growing CLIA/CAP‐certified clinical lab in Cambridge, MA. The scope of this role will include troubleshooting, developing, automating and implementing leading edge genetic software tools, which are essential to annotation of genetic variance of cancer patients. Primary Responsibilities: -Work with clinical lab team to maintain and adjust their LIMS system. -Work with clinical and R&D teams to support the quality control of the sequencing procedures. -Work with clinical analytics team to annotate variants and generate content to be used in the generation of clinical reports. -Develop, enhance and automate analysis and annotation of DNA sequencing data. Assess accuracy, precision, sensitivity, specificity and robustness. -Contribute to the ongoing design and development of the software technology, algorithms, and databases for big-data analysis and storage.

Qualifications:
Required: -BS or MS in in appropriate technical, scientific, or engineering discipline (preferably computational biology). -Strong programming skills; capable of conceiving of, implementing and optimizing program operating on large data sets. -Expertise with database design and proficiency in MySQL or related database. -Proficiency in LINUX operating systems and related scripting languages. -Proficiency in Python, C/C++ and at least one analysis language (R or MATLAB). -Experience in high performance computing, clusters and cloud computing. Preferred: -Industrial experience 1-3 years. -Expertise with maintenance and adjustment of LIMS systems. -Expertise analyzing genetic and/or gene expression data and next generation sequencing data. -Experience with implementing tools using APIs that automatically interrogate genetic data sources. -Expertise working with version control systems.Requeriments :
