Job Description:
The Center for Computational and Integrative Biology at Massachusetts General Hospital is looking for exceptional candidates to join the Xavier Lab in computational biology roles. The Xavier Lab seeks to study the genetic, immunological and environmental basis of diseases in the gut and the regulatory circuits driving them. The lab is uniquely positioned to leverage clinical data from one of the world's leading hospitals, data from large scale chemical biology and genetics experiments performed at the Broad Institute and develop therapeutic solutions.

We are looking for a highly motivated and talented individual with a computational background to join our efforts. You will collaborate with computational biologists, laboratory scientists, and clinicians in a collegial work environment infused with intellectual rigor. You will take part in analyzing data from our ongoing sequencing experiments and genetic screens to identify genes and pathways involved in the pathogenesis of gut diseases and the regulation of immunity.

This position affords the opportunity to employ the cutting-edge of machine learning and statistical research to solve important problems in human health and biology.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

In an independent and timely fashion:

  • Develop and maintain data analysis pipelines and tools for analysis of RNAseq transcriptomics (including single-cell profiling technologies), proteomics, metabolomics and screening data (including small-molecule and genome-wide CRISPR screens).
  • Develop, implement and perform data analytic workflows and pipelines on Cloud-based systems.
  • Evaluate and recommend new emerging technologies, approaches, and analytic solutions.
  • Perform scientifically robust analysis of data; summarize, communicate and present analysis results.
  • Maintain and organize computational infrastructure and resources.
