Business Consultant - Munich - Scientific Software -Germany -Deutschland - Biology - Chemistry - Bioinformatics - Biosciences - Computer Science - IT
A fantastic new opportunity has become available in Germany for a graduate in a scientific area with a keen interest in Scientific Software and IT.
This organisation are based in Munich and work prominently with pharmaceutical and biotechnology customers identifying solutions based on their challenges, whilst assessing and communicating how they can add value to client's teams.
This role will require strong relationship building and enthusiasm for your area of expertise and developing the company offering further.
Core Responsibilities:
*Leading business consulting engagements within the region
*Carry out analysis with target customers such as process mapping, return on investment and transformation impact assessments
*Identifying opportunities to improve customer processes and develop business propositions
*Working in collaboration with colleagues in sales, consulting and project delivery to ensure smooth pre- and post-sales delivery
*Manage the downstream risk around delivery of sophisticated solutions by setting expectations earlier and providing more accurate estimates
*Gaining an understanding of the client and target market direction, strategy and demands
*Contribute to the development of best practices both internally and with partners
*Provide consulting mentorship for colleagues
*Maintain current awareness of company products, value proposition, corporate vision and messaging and contribute to its development
*Presenting and explain IDBS' value proposition clearly in terms the customer understands
*Regular (up to 50%) international travel is often required
Skills & Experience Required:
*Degree level qualification, ideally in a relevant scientific discipline - Computer Science, Chemistry, Bioinformatics, Bioscience, Analytical Sciences, Chemicals
*0-2 years' experience, ideally within consultancy or a pharmaceutical/biotechnology company
*Completely fluent in English and German language
*Abilities to deliver successful presentations to individuals and/or groups at all levels of an organization
*Have knowledge or experience from: Pharmaceuticals, Biotech, Analytical Sciences, Chemicals, Cosmetics, Food and Beverage
*Knowledge of process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Value Stream Mapping, Six Sigma, etc. would be an advantage
*Excellent analytical, problem resolution and consultative sales skills
*Commitment to excellence and high standards
*Strong organizational, problem solving, and analytical skills
*Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams
*Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
*Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines with enthusiasm
