Job Description:
The Business Systems Analyst analyzes complex business problems to be solved with automated systems. Identifies gaps and provides technical expertise in business requirements for system functional specifications and scales new and current systems, processes and procedures in a cost-effective manner. Configures system settings and options; plans and executes unit, integration and acceptance testing to meet business requirements.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with users to document business process
  • Recognize workflow management impacts to new requirements
  • Write test cases and document use cases
  • Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
  • Resource to users in case of concerns or questions
  • Test functionality of new software changes made with users - support UAT
  • Perform data analysis to uncover / identify problem areas
  • This role works with PHI on a regular basis both in paper and electronic form and have an access to various technologies to access PHI (paper and electronic) in order to perform the job.
  • Employee must complete training relating to HIPAA/PHI privacy, General Policies and Procedure Compliance training and security training as soon as possible but not later than the first 30 days of hire.
  • Must maintain a current status on Natera training requirements.
  • Employee must pass post offer criminal background check.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor of Science in Computing Science, or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Systems Analyst
  • Experience engaging with stakeholders to manage process
  • Experience working in Xifin or similar software
  • Experience gathering requirements, conducting interviews, and shadowing users to understand the process needs of users
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  • Excellent documentation skills in UML
  • Good understanding of financial processes or the ability to pick up the understanding.
  • Knowledge of REST API, JSON / XML concepts is a nice to have
  • Ability to work a data visualization tool like QlikView or Tableau
  • Prior experience running data analysis
  • Basic concepts of relational databases.
  • Ability to run simple SQL queries - nice to have
  • Demonstrated teamwork skills with a solid analytical background.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Duties are typically performed in an office setting.
  • This position requires on-site presence to effectively communicate across the organization
  • Position requires the ability to use a computer keyboard, communicate over the telephone, and read printed material
  • Duties may require working outside normal working hours (evenings and weekends) at times
