Job Description:
The SRI Bioinformatics Research Group seeks a Chemo/Bioinformatics Scientist to join the BioCyc and Pathway Tools projects. BioCyc.org is a Web portal to hundreds of microbial genomes and their associated metabolic pathways.
We seek a self-motivated individual whose responsibilities will include development of algorithms for searching large chemical reaction databases, bacterial metabolic models, and web-based user interfaces.
Qualifications
-- MS/PhD in Bioinformatics or Chemoinformatics, with 2-10 years of relevant experience in some of the following areas/technologies: Chemoinformatics; Bioinformatics; Metabolic pathways; Object-oriented databases or frame knowledge representation systems; Machine learning; Computer graphics, user interface design; Common Lisp; AJAX, Javascript, HTML, XML, SQL
