You will work closely with BenchSci’s Chief Data Officer, Chief Scientific Officer, and Machine Learning team to enhance BenchSci’s product types and algorithms. Responsibilities: Become a technical leader in BenchSci’s biomedical data R&D team which is responsible for data extraction from publications Collaborate closely with other engineers and scientists to solve interesting and challenging data problems Ensure product and technical features are delivered to spec and on-time Advocate for code and process improvements across your team, and help to define best practices based on personal industry experience and research

Qualifications
Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or Software Engineering Deep Life Science knowledge
- 6+ years of experience of strong development skills Proficient in JavaScript, and Python
- Proficient in shell scripting
- Experience working with cloud-based solutions
- Experience using test-driven development
- Experience with SQL, NoSQL, and graph DBs (Postgres, Neo4J)
- Good understanding of system design, data structures, and algorithms You have a constant desire to grow and develop
- You care about quality and you know what it means to ship high-quality code
- You have strong cross-team communication and collaboration skills
- You are a doer, a curious learner, and can get shit done! Nice to have: Masters degree or higher in Life Science Experience with workflow management platforms such as Airflow Experience with big data frameworks such as Hadoop and Spark
