Data Analysis University of Iowa Medical SchoolUSA-Iowa-Iowa City The Tan lab conducts research in gene regulation using both computational and experimental approaches ((http://www.healthcare.uiowa.edu/labs/tan/). We are seeking an enthusiastic candidate for a bioinformatics data analyst position. Key areas of responsibilities include collecting and analyzing genomics datasets, summarizing results and preparing reports, contributing to manuscripts/publications. The candidate will have the opportunity to work on several research projects funded by the National Institutes of Health. The position will provide additional research training in cutting edge bioinformatics skill sets.




  The applicants should have a BS or MS in bioinformatics or related fields such as statistics and computer sciences. Strong statistical and computer programming (R, perl/python, C/C++) skills are essential.
