Job Description:
In order to support Europe Breeding efforts we are looking for a Data Analyst Junior role. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented and passionate individual to join a multidisciplinary team of Data Analysts, Data Scientists and Plant Breeders who work on real world problems. As a Data Analyst Junior, you will support and develop new data science opportunities, expand existing methods, provide insights, and build practical solutions to complex business problems. You will apply advanced analytics skills to turn data into competitive advantage and make recommendations for data-driven business decisions.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Deployment of tools and software for data management, and statistical field testing analysis. Provide effective training and guidance to implement best practices
  • Accountable and responsible for data management, data curation, and data integrity/quality across Europe Breeding teams
  • Provide data analytics to be presented in standard visualizations and reporting that enable timely key decisions, with agile learning for new methods.
  • Support Breeding and Field Testing teams to improve data quality and completeness as it relates to QA/QC, plot designs, testing location information. Additionally, working with teams to improve testing footprint and data quality.
  • Support research teams across Europe, as well as interact with global teams to align strategies and maximize resources in fast changing environment
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree i n Statistics, Agronomy, Plant Breeding, Engineering, Bioinformatics, Data Science, or a related field
  • Minimum 3-years experience in data analytics, data management, agronomy, and/or related roles , delivering high quality analytics solutions to complex business problems and applying sophisticated scientific methods using statistical learning
  • Experience analyzing and presenting complex data with proven problem solving abilities
  • Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, and written communication skills
  • Strong teamwork, influencing, and organizational skills to interact with regional team members as well as Global teams, communicating complex technical information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment, influencing people at varying levels of responsibility, collaborating effectively in interdisciplinary teams
  • Ability to deliver innovative and creative solutions to complex problems
  • Ability to think and develop innovative information systems
  • Independent, self-motivated and assertive with a results orientation
