Job Description:
The Tissue Core Facility at the Moffitt Cancer Center is seeking a talented and motivated individual to join the Data Quality & Standards Analyst ? in Tampa, FL.

Position Highlights:

The Data Quality & Standards Analyst gathers source system data content and quality information, and standardizes data definitions for Moffitt Cancer Center. This position acts as a champion for producing data quality and metadata related documentation and promoting consistent data standards across the institution.

The Data Quality & Standards Analyst bears solid understanding of various database structures and has the ability to operate the QA and QC tools/templates to run various data reports and identify, troubleshoot data issues, application defects, and fast-track and determine root causes and form recommendations for future improvement. This position partners with senior team members to utilize multiple processes and work streams to ensure high quality data capture and data reporting to all Moffitt users, with the aim to enable better support in research and clinical efforts, planning and decision making across the organization, and continuum of care.

The Ideal Candidate:

· Ability to learn new software systems and business intelligence tools.

· Proficiency in working with multiple databases and varied IT systems in health care sectors or similar environment.

· Practical experience in project management and ability to manage multiple, concurrent projects.

· Experience in QA/QC procedures and implementation of data quality control processes.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with other team members.

Credentials and Qualifications:

· Bachelor's Degree required in b iostatistics, Epidemiology, Informatics, Bioinformatics, Health information, Computer science, Information System Management or similar fields.

· Master's degree preferred in Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Informatics, Bioinformatics, Health information, Computer science, Information System Management or similar fields.

· Minimum two (2) years' experience in data analysis, quality assurance analysis, business analysis, organizational/process management, metadata management, documentation management, information technology, data quality and/or related areas required.

· Experience must include understanding and developing data quality related documentation (e.g. data dictionary), business processes, working with varied computer systems (including mainframe and desktop applications), and working with multiple complex databases.

· Excellent data analytical skills and proficiency in software applications including Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint, and one of the following software: SQL,SAS,R/S-Plus,HTML, JAVA, XML, C.
