Job Description:
As a Data Scientist on the Housing Analysis and Research team, you will apply statistical and machine learning techniques to build tools that will be used to make decisions about the underwriting and servicing of mortgages at a leading name in the residential and commercial mortgage arena. As a Data Scientist on the Housing Analysis and Research team, you will apply statistical and machine learning techniques to build tools that will be used to make decisions about the underwriting and servicing of mortgages at a leading name in the residential and commercial mortgage arena. You will make efficient use of distributed computing technologies to keep those tools sharp with the latest structured and unstructured big data available. Responsibilities:
- Use techniques from statistics, machine learning, and other data sciences to estimate predictive models from numeric, categorical, textual, geographic, and other data features
- Write programs to clean and analyze large volumes of structured and unstructured data
- Present research results to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Write model documentation and research reports
- Visualize data to communicate complex ideas
- Master’s degree in data science, statistics, computer science, economics/econometrics, applied mathematics, operational research, physics, bioinformatics, engineering; or a directly related quantitative field; OR
- Bachelor’s degree with at least 3 years of related post-graduate work experience
- Strong communication skills
- PhD in a quantitative discipline
- Experience using Linux and/or Unix
- Experience using Hadoop and related technologies (Spark, Hive, etc.)
- Experience querying relational databases via SQL
Requeriments :
- M.Sc. or higher Degree in Bioinformatics
- M.Sc. or higher Degree in Computer Science
- M.Sc. or higher Degree in Statistics
- Master's Degree in Engineering
- Technical Bachelor
