Job Description:
Positions are available for both experimental and computational biologists to join our enthusiastic interdisciplinary team that is dissecting Notch transcriptional regulation and elucidates how this pathway reorganizes the tumor epigenome.

Candidates are required to hold a PhD, MD, or both. Expertise in cell and molecular biology is required for an experimental biology candidate, and experience in genomics and epigenomics will be viewed favorably. Training opportunities for analyzing such data sets are available. Expertise in machine learning and inference, programing in Python and R in a Unix environment is required for a computational biology candidate. Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated experience in analyzing genome-wide chromatin conformation and ChIP-seq data sets.

Additional Info:
The labs of Robert Faryabi and Warren Pear at the University of Pennsylvania are utilizing a systems biology approach to study the role of Notch signaling in oncogenic transformation.

We provide a rich multi-disciplinary training environment in molecular biology, genomics, epigenetics, cancer biology, and bioinformatics. We deploy cutting edge high-throughput chromatin conformation and single-cell transcriptomic and epigenomic assays, and interact closely with Penn's Institute for Epigenetics, Institute for Immunology, Abramson Cancer Center and Center for Personalized Medicine (https://goo.gl/2KHtfQ).

Further information about our labs and our collaborations could be found at https://faryabib.github.io and https://goo.gl/DA4jws.

Interested applicants should submit a CV, a statement of research interests, and 3 reference letters to FaryabiPearLabs@gmail.com…
