Job Description:
Prof. Marta Riquelme, group leader of the research tema called Genetics of Complex Diseases, is looking for postdoctoral researchers.
GENYO, the center where to carry out the project:the center for Genomics and Oncological Research in Granada, Spain has developed rapidly into a center of excellence in Andalusia, that in a few years has been able to include in its building top young researchers from Spain. It is a well-equipped center, the first to have a CyTOF in Spain and with an excellent genomics unit supported by one of bioinformatics with strong projects supported by the US and Europe, as well as national funding. Prof Alarcón-Riquelme has been working first in Sweden where she became Professor in Epidemiology of Chronic Inflammatory Diseases, and then in the United States, as Associate Member of the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation. She is a renowned scientist with a strong background in genetics, but also in immunology, area in which she is concentrating her efforts, particularly in animal models of autoimmunity. She is now coordinating a major European project called PRECISESADS with a funding of 22,7M€ with up to 23 Academic groups and SMEs and 5 major Pharmaceutical companies.
