An exciting new opportunity has arisen to join MilliporeSigma as Informatics Analyst. You will work with the IT/Bioinformatics team and in coordination with other departments (R&D, Innovation Center, etc.), to process different types of data (genomics data, bioinformatics databases, publication data, etc.). You also identify, implement, develop and maintain databases, analytical tools, pipelines and web-based applications. Your work requires close collaboration with software engineers to develop analytical applications for customers, with a focus on computational and bioinformatics services. We seek candidates with solid data background in research as well as strong analytical skills, communication, interpersonal skills and business acumen. The ideal candidate requires a wide variety of machine learning, statistical and bioinformatics technologies to perform analysis and generate reports. Who you are: • Bachelor or graduate degree in Bioinformatics, Biostatistics, Computational Biology, Computer Sciences (or equivalent) • Several years (ideally 3-5) of programming (R, Python, Perl, Java, etc.) and data analysis experience • Data Science, Life Science or IT industry knowledge preferred • Ability to interact with senior management in matrix organization • Business-fluent English skills What we offer: With us, there are always opportunities to break new ground.
