Job Description:
An Interdisciplinary Computational Biologist postdoctoral fellowship is available with the Scientific Information Office, Epigenetics and Stem Cell Biology Laboratory, at the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS). The successful candidate will apply computational methods and develop tools and applications across a variety of exciting projects in the general areas of bioinformatics and computational biology, epigenomics, functional genomics, cancer biology, and systems biology supporting discovery across the biological, biomedical, and Environmental Health Sciences domains. A successful candidate will develop diverse computational resources that integrate and support the analysis of large-scale datasets generated in collaboration with NIEHS intramural faculty including approximately 50 Principal Investigators. Recent example references include PMID: 27487356, 26258849, and 26028540.

Candidates should have obtained a Ph.D. in computational biology, bioinformatics, or a related discipline. Programming skills, comfort working in a high-performance computing environment, and experience in the application of computational methods to high-throughput data are highly desirable. Excellent verbal and written communications skills and the ability to simultaneously work on a variety of diverse projects are essential.
