Job Summary
Position Responsibilities:
Vertex Pharmaceuticals is seeking a highly motivated computational biologist/chemist to join Vertex’s San Diego research site as a summer intern. The internship will involve writing scripts using python, analyzing data, and presenting results to a multi-disciplinary research team.
Position Qualifications:
B.S. In chemistry, biology, computer science, or a related field
Currently enrolled in a masters or Ph.D. program
Must be legally eligible to work in the U.S.
Relocation, housing or visa sponsorship will not be covered
Preferred qualifications:
Demonstrated experience in computational biology/chemistry
Familiarity with bioinformatics and/or molecular modeling tools
Excellent communication skills
