Job Description:
Perform research in high-performance software systems area working closely with HPC and data science applications. Develop a research program in the area of high-performance computing systems, including, research in software systems such as compilers and runtime systems and including domain-specific approaches. Develop an in-depth understanding of advanced high-performance computational algorithms. Lead or mentor a team of HPC/data analytics programming professionals. (50%) Support the development of high-performance software and algorithms for application areas such as bioinformatics and genomics at CCT. (20%) Prepare power point presentations on the technical results, with animations of simulations, for sponsors and national and international conferences; write technical reports of research findings; Offer training programs to junior researchers as well as visitors from industry working at LSU; assist in preparing research proposals, progress reports, and final reports; Manage and mentor research team consisting of graduate and undergraduate students. (20%) Other duties assigned by CCT Director. (10%) Minimum Qualifications: A Ph.D. in Electrical or Computer Engineering or Computer Science. Preference will go to candidates working with high performance computing environment and Linux operating system.
