Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated bioinformatics scientist to perform analysis of next-generation sequencing data from clinical trial samples. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with computational biologists and project managers and will: • Analyze large-scale genomic (expression, copy number, mutation) datasets • Provide biological interpretation of biomarkers in the context of signaling pathways • Perform assessment of quality control metrics • Collaborate with Data Management to format and transfer data into clinical databases Minimum requirements: • Master’s degree in bioinformatics, computational biology, biology, or related field • 2+ years of industry experience preferred • Previous experience with interpreting exome sequencing or RNA-sequencing data • Conceptual understanding of DNA-seq and RNA-seq data generation • Experience in cancer genomics preferred • Demonstrated statistical and analytical ability with programming expertise in R • Proficiency with Linux tools and Python preferred • Effective prioritization among multiple projects • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; proven ability to work effectively within a team
