Job Description:
The Bioinformatics group develops and applies computational methods to explore biological processes at all levels of life systems organization from atomic to ecological. Management of experimental data, and its automation, is becoming increasingly important as the scale of experiments grows and diversifies. This position is responsible for support and operation of the Nautilus LIMS and its development as needed in conjunction with existing and new projects. Major Duties/Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for support and operation of the Nautilus LIMS and its development as needed in conjunction with existing and new projects. Major Duties/Responsibilities:
- Responsible for development and support of LIMS system and associated database and web interface
- Main point of contact for all LIMS support issues
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Nautilus and LIMS best practices
- Develop and maintain documentation describing the design of the LIMS including the overall architecture, all interfaces and code
- Develop and maintain user documentation and training in best practices
- As laboratory and sample processing procedures change, or new ones are developed, design and modify the LIMS system as needed
- Collaborate with internal and external researchers to analyze and interpret LIMS data
- Computer programming experience preferably in C++ or Java
- Web app experience using JSP
- Relational database experience using SQL preferably Oracle
- Proficiency with word processing, web, and graphic design software
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to communicate in English to a scientific audience
- Experience in biology, genomic sciences, or biochemistry
- Experience with LIMS implementation or configuration
Requeriments :
- M.Sc. or higher Degree in Bioinformatics
- M.Sc. or higher Degree in Computer Science
- M.Sc. or higher Degree in Statistics
