Job Description:
We are looking to recruit a number of high quality Post-Doc Researchers to join the IBM Research team in the Hartree Centre at the Daresbury Laboratory of the Science & Technology Facilities Council in Cheshire, England. The roles offer opportunities to work with leading Research Scientists in IBM and STFC and, especially, to work with UK companies on the early adoption of new technology to benefit the UK economy. Universities & Research Institutes in the UK are also potential research partners. Central to the research programme at Daresbury is research and exploitation of: cognitive technologies such as machine learning and knowledge representation, and; new software and hardware architectures for handling large volumes of data. Research is in a range of domains including engineering, life sciences, and high performance computing is in the scope of the programme. We are looking for ambitious, high-quality, Post-Docs who wish to work for one of the world's leading Industrial Research organisations to advance both the state-of-the-art in science & engineering, and their own careers. The roles are challenging and offer a great career opportunity to work in a new and growing IBM Research team in the UK. All roles are based at the Hartree Centre, Daresbury, Cheshire, UK. Required Skills and Experience: -PhD/DPhil in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Biochemistry, Bioinformatics or similar disciplines -Experience with High Performing computer systems. -Perform Scientific Research -Develop Technical Positions/Findings
