Job Description:
Postdoc position in computational biology/bioinformatics (E13 TV-G-U, 100%-full time) Applications are invited for a postdoc position in the laboratory of Dr. Kathi Zarnack at the Buchmann Institute for Molecular Life Sciences (BMLS), Frankfurt Germany (http://www.bmls.de/Computational_RNA_Biology/aboutus.html). The successful applicant will contribute to internationally competitive research in the field of computational RNAbiology with a particular focus on mRNA localisation and translational regulation. The project is part of theDFG-funded research programme FOR2333 “Macromolecular complexes in mRNA translocation”. Our group develops and applies computational approaches to deduce transcript characteristics, RBP sequence preferences and functional interrelationships from a range of genome-wide experiments, such as iCLIP andRNA-seq. The postdoc will work in close collaboration with experimental scientists and will have access to high-quality first-hand datasets to pursue the research question. You will
