The project is part of theDFG-funded research programme FOR2333 “Macromolecular complexes in mRNA translocation”. Our group develops and applies computational approaches to deduce transcript characteristics, RBP sequence preferences and functional interrelationships from a range of genome-wide experiments, such as iCLIP andRNA-seq. The postdoc will work in close collaboration with experimental scientists and will have access to high-quality first-hand datasets to pursue the research question. You will

  • Study the mechanisms of mRNA localisation and translational regulation in different model organisms
  • Analyse and interpret genome-wide datasets for solving complex biological questions
  • Work in close cooperation with experimental researchers
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners
Required Qualifications
  • PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Systems Biology or related areas
  • Experience in analysing high-throughput genomics datasets such as RNA-seq, CLIP or ChIP-seq
  • General programming skills
  • Familiarity with analytic tools such as R or Matlab will be a plus
  • General biological background knowledge
We offer
  • A stimulating, diverse and international research environment
