Job Description:
We are recruiting a postdoctoral fellow to work on computational and functional genomics of Cancer. Highly motivated, self-starters with a knack for solving challenging problems in cancer biology with an outstanding publication track record are encouraged to apply. Though the candidate will be supervised by Dr. Anindya Bagchi, s/he is expected to work as a part of multi-disciplinary, dynamic and vibrant team, and will have the opportunity to work and develop his/her research program with the best in the field. Required Experience: You hold a PhD degree or equivalent in bioinformatics, statistics, computational biology, or related discipline of biomedical research. Experience in computational and statistical genetics, genomics and knowledge of R and PERL and their application in cancer bioinformatics is mandatory. Programming experience is required as is having worked with big data. It is desired that you are familiar with standard molecular biology, tissue culture practices and mouse genetics protocol. The successful candidate will have strong qualifications or experience within several of the following areas:

- Bioinformatics and systems biology at the molecular level
- Cancer pathophysiology and RNA biology of Cancer.
- Project management of interdisciplinary research projects within genomics and bioinformatics (genomics, Non-coding RNAs, proteomics and chromatin)
- Experience with data structures, databases, and data architectures (TCGA, SU2C etc)
- Knowledge of biomedical resources and infrastructures
- Outstanding publication record.
