Job Description:
A postdoctoral researcher position is available immediately to study stem cell biology and breast cancer initiation and progression. The objective is to identify and attract the most promising scientists in specific academic fields to train in convergence including but not limited to biomedical science (life/medicine), physical, mathematics and engineering sciences. Individuals with innovative ideas who desire to pursue research in convergence under the mentorship of senior PIs in the lab.

Post doc fellows will undertake a variety of activities, including: presenting seminars, conducting research, providing methodological and analytical expertise, writing collaborative papers/project, and supervising students. The minimum stay is one year with a maximum depending on the nature of the project.

The position requires experience in cellular and molecular biology, such as the experimental technology on molecular mechanisms that control malignant transformation, tumor progression and metastasis. However, previous experience in knock-out and transgenic animals, RNA biology, epigenetics, computational biology, cancer biology and cancer genomics would be helpful. We are also welcome the candidates, who are trained in other fields such as mammary gland biology, developmental biology, stem cells, genetics, chemistry and genomics, to apply these positions.

The projects may focus on identification of novel breast cancer drivers and metastasis, identification of networks that control cell fate decision and differentiation and how the differentiation state of the cell of origin determines the genetic landscape of a cancer. However, other projects relating to genomic library screening, early detection, hydrogel synthesis and 3D printing and synthetic chemistry are also available.

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

The candidate for postdoc must have a Ph.D. degree and have less than 2 years postdoctoral experience in a related field. Candidates are expected to work independently, be highly creative and self-motivated. Please forward a cover letter, an updated c.v. including a list of your publications, and the addresses of 3 references to:
