* Postdoctoral Position * Algebraic Aspects of Mathematical Biology * * Texas A&M University * A postdoctoral position in mathematical biology is available under the direction of Prof. Anne Shiu (Math, Texas A&M University). The position, which begins in August 2016, is a three-year appointment as a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics at Texas A&M University, and carries a three course per year teaching load: http://www.math.tamu.edu/hiring/faculty.html Requirements include: (1) PhD in mathematics, statistics, computer science, or other closely related field; (2) Demonstrated research excellence; (3) Strong oral and written communication skills. Preference will be given to applicants whose research interests and expertise complement current projects at the interface of computational algebra and systems biology. Outstanding applicants looking to broaden their field of interest will also be considered.
