Job Description:
Bioinformatics postdoc positions are available in the department of Bioinformatics and Computational Biology at MD Anderson Cancer Center (MDACC). We (www.korkutlab.org ) aim to discover combination therapies with small molecules and immunotherapy agents to overcome resistance to targeted therapy in cancer. Our laboratory combines bioinformatics, cancer genomics, network inference and machine learning algorithms with drug perturbation and profiling experiments. If you are interested in: • working in a highly collaborative, experimental, computational and translational cancer biology program • working at MDACC (ranked number one in the nation for cancer care by U.S. News & World Report and number one in the number of awarded grants from the NCI) • having excellent benefits & salary (65K/year) email letter of interest, CV, a list of 2-3 references to akorkut@mdanderson.org Requirements: PhD in a relevant field (e.g., bioinformatics, biophysics, genomics). A good understanding of statistics and programming skills (e.g., R, Matlab, C++, Fortran) is a must. A good understanding of cancer biology, signaling pathways and drug response mechanisms is highly preferred.
