Job Description:
Position supports the maintenance and execution of data analysis pipelines for next-generation sequencing datasets and maintains the data storage on the servers.

  • Maintains adequate data storage levels on the servers.
  • Supports automation of pipeline and laboratory software.
  • Evaluates and supports, in consultation with UPHS Information Services, IT-related needs.
  • Executes clinical data analysis pipelines of next-generation sequencing datasets and uploads information into database.
  • Maintains uninterrupted power supplies for servers
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Manager.
  • Performs duties in accordance with Penn Medicine and entity values, polices, and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned to support the unit, department, entity, and health system organization
Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Biology or related field, required.
  • Master's Degree Bioinformatics, Computer, Science, Biology or a related field, preferred.
