Job Description:
MSK is seeking a Sr. Program Analyst to join our Medical Physics team. In this role, the Sr. Program Analyst designs, develops and implements software systems in one or more of the following areas: radiation treatment planning and delivery; brachytherapy; bioinformatics data analysis and outcomes reporting. Additionally, the software development in support of clinical and research projects may include scripting, development of user interfaces, use of applications programming interfaces, and enhancements or upgrades to current systems.

You Will Also:

  • Analyze software application issues for current systems, new systems and enhancements or upgrades to current systems, evaluates applicability to user needs
  • Study and understand problems involved in systems, identify possible solutions and create documentation on software structures
  • Determine the design strategies: Top-down Functional design orand Object-Oriented design
  • Make up the overall system architecture and sub-system components. Identify their functions, services and their relationships
  • Optimize system functionality and availability and manage the development activities.
  • Ensure that all the needed resources for the applications are available
  • Train and instruct the users in the developed applications
  • Give presentations on application topics as requested

You Need:
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field AND 0-2 years of experience OR
  • Bachelor’s Degree and 2-4 years of experience
  • Strong skills in C/C++ programming language
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Windows GUI and Visual Studio .NET Development Environment
  • Good verbal, writing, and interpersonal skills
  • Programming experience and knowledge of database, networking, 2D/3D computer graphics, OpenGL C# language and applications programming interfaces are desirable
  • Experience in FORTRAN, MATLAB and BASICS programming language is helpful.
  • Experience and knowledge in the areas of applied math, radiation physics, medical imaging DICOM and radiation therapy are helpful
