Programmer

Job Description:
Well-known Pharmaceutical Company located in South San Francisco is looking for a professional Data Scientist/R Programmer. The environment includes multiple, unified deployments of R which are integrated with an automated test/build/deploy system for internally authored R packages.

Responsibilities:

• Process RNAseq data using in-house pipeline
• QC of RNAseq and microarray projects
• Analysis of expression data for infectious disease discovery and diagnostics programs
• Performing miscellaneous bioinformatics analysis supporting infectious disease related areas

Skills:

• R programming language high level of proficiency
• Scripting language experience helpful (Perl, Python, etc.)
• Experience analyzing RNAseq & microarray data
• Unix/Linux proficiency
• Understanding of bioinformatics tools

Education: M.S or Ph.D
