Job Description:
The post holder will lead on curating and analysing large genomic datasets from Whole Exome-sequencing, RNA-Seq, ChIP-Seq, 4C-seq and ATAC-seq experiments that will provide insights into the transcriptional and epigenetic determinants of malignant plasma cell survival and proliferation. Activities will include: mapping and annotation of genome sequence data; relevant statistical and secondary data analyses to identify and validate intersects of gene lists, gene ontology terms, gene set enrichment analysis and gene interaction networks using relevant software. A PhD in Bioinformatics or related field, or equivalent research is essential. The appointed person will be expected to have a working knowledge of RNA-seq, WES and ChIP-seq analysis methodologies. The position is full-time, fixed-term for 8 months.

The Karadimitris lab studies transcriptional and epigenetic mechanisms that initiate and sustain survival and proliferation of neoplastic plasma cells in the haemaological malignancy multiple myeloma. Related work performed in the lab focuses on the transcriptional and epigenetic regulation of housekeeping gene expression.
