Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated person with advanced experience in bioinformatics to provide support for a range of research projects. This role will require extensive analytic and programming experience, as well as familiarity with current genomic technologies. It will also involve creation of new program code and use of existing bioinformatics software, as well as training and supervision of students using bioinformatics capabilities within the Zoology, Botany and other Division of Sciences Departments.

The person appointed to this position will be able to show initiative and have strong attention to detail whilst responding to a broad range of academic demands. The position requires a highly organised person who has a genuine interest in the application of bioinformatics to contemporary science and excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as being a team player and a problem-solver.

Your Skills And Experience:
  • PhD degree minimum.
  • Significant component of bioinformatics experience and a strong interest in Biological Sciences.
  • Extensive programming experience.
