If you want to help change the current paradigm of DNA sequencing please apply! Responsibilities: Direct architecture and development of company’s Software Suite including:
- Leading infrastructure requirements gathering, architecture, and design specification reviews.
- Building the distributed infrastructure with public and private cloud platform to enable aggregation, storage and computation of petabytes of genomic data.
- Work as part of Agile scrum teams to design, implement, and test the instrument control software that powers our industry-leading DNA sequencing devices.
- Deliver software architecture, designs, and implementations.
- Lead User Interface Development for Instrument control and data process workflow
- Lead software team in development and optimization of parallel data processing algorithms and data structures
- Architect and implement cluster/distributed/cloud computing needs to speed up analysis
- Analytics for comparing run and instrument performance
- Work with System administrator to prevent any down time
- Mentor engineers
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Currently hands-on and active in Software Development, and architecture leadership
- 5+ years of hands on experience in large scale production coding, agile, architecture, and people leadership
- Experience in enterprise software, web technologies, distributed systems, and high-performance cloud computing platforms.
- Solid expertise with Java or C++ or Python.
- Experienced with Cloud applications, deployment models, and deep knowledge with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Google cloud, Azure).
- Experience with SQL databases such as MySQL or Oracle
- Experience with a NoSQL database such as Hbase, Cassandra is a plus
- Healthcare/life-sciences domain knowledge is a huge plus
