Job Description:
We are seeking to appoint a research fellow in Bioinformatics to the UK Dementia Research Institute (DRI) at King’s College London within the Department of Basic and Clinical Neuroscience. Funded by the Medical Research Council, Alzheimer’s Society and Alzheimer’s Research UK, the UK DRI is a national consortium focused on cutting-edge dementia research. The post-holder will work within a friendly, productive and dynamic team of molecular biologists/biochemists/geneticists and contribute to the study of altered RNA metabolism in cellular and animal models of neurodegeneration using RNA-Seq and CLIP-Seq data. The successful candidate should hold a PhD in bioinformatics, computer science or a related field coupled with significant postdoctoral bioinformatics expertise. Bioinformaticians with experience in isoform-level analysis (mRNA splicing/processing) and/or in CLIP-Seq are strongly encouraged to apply. The selection process will include a panel interview and a presentation. This post is fixed term for 3 years. This is a full-time position.
