We are currently seeking a highly talented and motivated scientist to join our team. The computational biologist will be responsible for analyzing next generation sequencing data, such as whole genome and exome sequencing (WGS and WES) data. These analyses will inform both business and scientific decisions. Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Development of in-house analysis pipelines.
- Analysis of WGS and similar data sets to identify concerning mutations.
- Identify differences between genome-wide data from related clones.
- Mining WGS data for viral and adventitious agent signatures.
- Summarizing and presenting data in group meetings, authoring internal reports, and contributing to discussions.
- A Ph.D. in computational biology, bioinformatics, genome sciences, or a related discipline.
- Experience with common NGS analysis software.
- Ability to utilize computational tools in common scripting languages.
- Strong organizational, time management, and problem solving skills with attention to details.
- Ability to work independently.
- Entrepreneurial spirit. Desire to work in an exciting environment to deliver the next generation of stem cell therapy products.
- Experience identifying exogenous sequences in genomic data sets.
- Experience with disease genotype data.
- Experience performing statistical analysis on large data sets.
- Experience with high-performance computing.
