Job Description:
In this challenging position you perform pre-clinical research (both in vitro and in vivo) to validate biomarkers for application in clinical studies. As a Scientist Biomarker Research you perform pre-clinical research (both in vitro and in vivo) to validate biomarkers for application in clinical studies. -You work together with one or more research associates to discover and develop pharmacodynamic and patient stratification biomarkers. -You work with internal and external parties in project- and expert-teams. -You report scientific results in patents, publications, regulatory documents and product-development reports. -As part of the Antibody Science cluster, you belong to a group of strong scientists and research associates with state-of-the-art knowledge of the antibody and oncology field. As Scientist Biomarker Research you have a PhD degree in a relevant field (e.g. immunolgy, oncology, biomarker development) and you have at least 3 years’ experience in diagnostics or biomarker development with emphasis on oncology or immunology after your PhD. -You have experience with diagnostic technologies and platforms including strong understanding of molecular and immunological techniques including next generation sequencing (NGS) technologies, cell culture, flow cytometry, immunoassay and qPCR. -You know how to deal with large datasets (e.g. from next generation sequencing applications and gene/protein interaction networks. -Experience with and understanding of drug development process is preferred. Ideally you also have experience in or knowledge of regulated environments such as ISO/GCP/GMP working with tools and databases such as blast, COSMIC or ENSEMBL. -You are internationally respected for your expertise and have a consistent record of cutting edge research as shown by publications in top journalsRecognized scientific leadership as documented by references and external presentations. -You have a ‘getting things done’ mentality, you are pro-active, enthusiastic and goal orientated.
