Job Description:
RBW have partnered with several prominent and well established biotechnology start-ups in the Greater Boston area to search for Scientists at various levels (junior - senior) with a background in Computational Biology and Bioinformatics.

You will join multi-disciplinary teams and play an integral role in implementing the strategy for large-scale genomic data analysis across pre-clinical and clinical domains. Our mission is to accelerate drug discovery by developing personalised medicines and vaccines across diverse therapeutic areas – particularly in immuno-oncology.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Build and apply predictive models (through deep learning approaches) across drug discovery and development research.
  • Identify new biomarkers through large scale analysis of NGS cancer exome and transcriptome data.
  • Work closely with lab and bench scientists to improve experimental design.
  • Develop data analysis and pipeline for high-throughput genomics screens.
  • Automate raw data processing and present data visualisation and interpretation.
  • Utilise Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) across experiments and studies.
  • Gene expression knowledge and experience is considered advantageous (i.e. RNA-seq, ChIP-seq).
Requirements:
  • PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Statistics or Data Science.
  • Experienced in the application of Computational/Statistical/Bioinformatics methods in genomics.
  • Strong evidence of experience in data analysis and genomics research using large genomics datasets of NGS data alongside clinical data.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and competence in relevant programming languages and applications (Python, R) and experience with statistical methodologies.
  • Strong publication record in a relevant field.
  • Exposure to advanced machine and statistical learning methods.
