Job Description:
The Department of Genetics in the School of Medicine at LSUHSC in New Orleans is seeking to fill a Senior Bioinformatics Analyst position. The successful candidate will provide broad computational support for the program and collaborative projects on management and analysis of large-scale omics, sequence, genotype, methylation and other biological data and integration of these data with clinical information and assist with teaching and training students and staff. Qualifications: -Bachelor’s degree in the field(s) of study Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Statistical Genetics, Biostatistics or closely related field -Five (5) years’ experience in computer programming or closely related field OR -Master’s degree in Computer Science or Bioinformatics or closely related quantitative field -Two (2) years’ computer programming experience OR -PhD in Computer Science or Bioinformatics or closely related field
