A Senior Data Scientist is being sought by a New York City based start-up. Roles and Responsibilities:
- Translate complex data into meaningful insights
- Use your analytical skills and product understanding to be consultative to partners and clients
- Use Machine Learning techniques, work with distributed computing (Hive, Spark, Hadoop) and be a hands-on programmer (Python, SQL, Scala, Java)
- 4+ years of commercial experience in Data Science
- PhD in Computer Science, Physics, Bioinformatics, Math, Statistics, or another quantitative field
- Client facing experience as well as excellent communication skills
