Job Description:
This is an exceptional opportunity for a passionate and out-of-box thinking individual to join a growing team of cross-functional and talented individuals at Equifax Workforce Solutions. As a Senior Data Scientist, you will address high value business questions by creating cutting edge data science solutions. You will shape and influence the future of data science and analytics within the Data and Analytics function at Equifax and within the broader Data Science Community.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement and deploy cutting edge analytics solutions across company-wide initiatives such as Financial, Government, and Employer services with the goal of driving market expansion, customer value penetration, and new analytics product creation.
  • Work with stakeholders throughout the organization to apply advanced analytics and big-data solutions to help our customers make better decisions.
  • Perform Data Science consulting within the Data and Analytics function.
  • Creatively translate ambiguous workforce questions and problem statements into testable hypotheses for which relevant and actionable insights can be surfaced.
  • Deploy expertise in data storytelling to facilitate understanding when communicating complex results to varied audiences.
  • Collaborate with different functional teams to implement models and monitor performance and outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Education: MS/PhD in data science, mathematics, electrical engineering, statistics, operations research, economics, bioinformatics/biostatistics or other quantitative field
  • 7+ years of broad experience in applying advanced analytics methods to complex problems
  • 5+ years of experience leading analytics product delivery and value creation
  • Excellent communication skills; ability to translate highly technical work into actionable recommendations
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to design algorithms for structured and unstructured data
  • Expert in working across wide range of analytics maturity levels including Descriptive, Diagnostic, Predictive, and Prescriptive
  • Expert in R and/or Python
  • Hands on experience with deep learning is preferred
  • Experience in Bayesian Hierarchical Models, Generalized Linear Regression, MCMC
  • Proficient in SQL, with experience in distributed data/computing tools such as Hadoop, Hive, Impala, etc.
  • Experience text mining is a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to foster and maintain relationships at all levels of the organization
