As the Senior Manager, Emerging Technology Strategy, you will work closely with the Director of IT Innovation to deliver the no-limits, “think big” vision and strategic planning that define AbbVie's next-generation approaches to data science, digital health, and next-gen computing. This position requires a seasoned leader with a well-established and demonstrable track record of understanding emerging technology trends across healthcare and technology and converting this knowledge into innovative, timely, and realistic strategic plans for our stakeholders across AbbVie's global research, operations, and commercial functions. This position requires a seasoned leader with a well-established and demonstrable track record of understanding emerging technology trends across healthcare and technology and converting this knowledge into innovative, timely, and realistic strategic plans for our stakeholders across AbbVie's global research, operations, and commercial functions. This position will be based at AbbVie's Global Headquarters in Lake County, IL. Key Responsibilities Include:
- Define and lead a bold emerging technology agenda and POC pipeline
- Deliver and refresh strategic plans that help set the innovation agenda for Abbvie's IT Leadership Team
- Communicate and champion strategic, long-range, and capital proposals to leadership teams in IT, finance, business-lines, and other strategy functions
- Lead, influence, and mentor others within a cross-functional environment
- Utilize your strong business acumen, intuition, and presentation skills to keep key stakeholders well informed of progress and milestones
- You are intrinsically curious…you're not afraid to brainstorm new ideas that challenge the status quo…you value working and collaborating with sincere scientific and business colleagues
- You possess the analytical and “fast-fail” ideation skills to sift through large numbers of ideas to find the best ones prior to investment
- You enjoy develop compelling visions and resource worthy plans
- You are seasoned enough to confidently convey what has worked well and what has not, and you are excited to apply that wisdom to the mission of finding and sourcing the world's great technologies
- You are data centric - you know how to move data around and integrate and visualize it; you understand previously and yet to be solved Big Data use cases and solutions
- You don't shy away from big problems and petabytes, and you want to be a part of teams that are solving challenging, outstanding problems in human health
Requeriments :
- M.Sc. or higher Degree in Bioinformatics
- M.Sc. or higher Degree in computational biology
- M.Sc. or higher Degree in Computer Science
