We're hiring a bioinformatics software developer to help us build great software in the field of medical genomics and precision medicine. You'll join our development team at Genedata Profiler in Munich that's currently hard at work building an enterprise software solution for the processing, management, and analysis of massive amounts of raw data from next-generation sequencing (NGS) and other omics technologies. Our development approach at Genedata Profiler is hybrid: we combine innovative software development with in-depth knowledge about scientific analysis of omics data (NGS, imaging, microarray, mass spectrometry). As a part of the development team, you will be wearing different hats. - Wants to improve health care through state-of-the-art software solutions
- Shows strong initiative and dedication to quality of work
- Is motivated to learn and passionate about coding
- While the bulk of the coding work is in Java, you should also be reasonably comfortable to learn Python, SQL, JavaScript, and HTML/CSS. We also do a fair bit of research, so reading a scientific paper about the latest approaches in NGS data analytics for cancer patients shouldn't scare you.
- Advance medical genomics through development of new software features
- Maintain existing product functionality
- Explore new technologies and scientific research areas
- Analyze scientific data for Genedata clients
- BSc, MSc, or Ph.D. in bioinformatics, computer science, physics, mathematics or related fields
- Basic working knowledge of Java is required
- Experience with our stack is a plus
- Strong initiative and dedication to quality of work
- Motivated to learn and passionate about coding
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
