Job Description:
Duties: Works with product development team of scientists and engineers. Designs, modifies, develops, writes, and implements software programming applications that provides user interface, data collection and analysis. Supports and/or installs software applications/operating systems. Standardizes the quality assurance procedure for software. Participates in the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing and certification of software. Broad range of skills in software and system development including application software. Primary Job Duties: Maintain Perl and Java code in data processing environment Maintain SQL scripts and PL/SQL procedures Maintain JSP scripts for basic web services Develop new programs/scripts as needed Skills: Must Have: 3-4+ years experience with Perl (Most Important!)Competent with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL (~2-3yrs exp); experience generating design is preferred Knowledge of Unix/Linux systems Strongly Preferred: Java/JSP experience (~2yrs exp)Knowledge of XML structures (~1 yr exp)Experience with LSF - Load Sharing Facility Nice to Have (Not required): Familiarity/Experience with Bioinformatics tools Education: BS/MS in Computer Science or related field.
