Job Description:
The successful candidate will use methods for genomic sequence analysis to support target selection and probe design for BioCeryx’s targeted sequence analysis platform. In collaboration with laboratory scientists, you will build an integrated pipeline for the iterative analysis of experiments to advance the development of novel molecular diagnostic assays on BioCeryx’s proprietary microfluidic platform. The ideal candidate will have significant experience with developing analysis capabilities for complex molecular biology assays. Responsibilities: ● Data processing and analysis of NGS and microarray data from development experiments ●Development and maintenance of data analysis pipelines and infrastructure to support rapid iterative experimental analysis of NGS and microarray data ● Preparation and presentation of results to internal scientists, external collaborators, and management Qualifications: ● MS or PhD in bioinformatics, computational biology, computer science, statistics, or similar field ● Experience with NGS data analysis, nucleic acid probe and primer design, and/or microarray data analysis ● Experience working with and analyzing data from public biological sequence databases ● Strong proficiency with some combination of Python (NumPy/SciPy), C/C++ and R. ● Familiarity with advanced machine learning methods and rigorous statistical analysis is a plus
