Job Description:
The successful candidate will play a critical role in collaborating closely with a translational biomarker lab to develop, implement and validate bio-analytical assays to support clinical trials through:

Conduct computational data analysis on multi-dimensional data generated from various platforms to compare, select as well as troubleshoot and optimize biomarker assays to ensure effective translation of biomarker assays into clinical trials;

Implement bioinformatics pipelines for biomarker assays,contribute to the development of SOPs, and benchmark external and internal platforms and algorithms;

Provide timely bioinformatics support such as data collation, summarization, QC evaluation to support biomarker development efforts

Contribute effectively to a shared codebase that can be leveraged broadly for multiple applications

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ph.D. or equivalent in bioinformatics, computer science or closely related fields with 2-5 years industry or clinical laboratory experience in cancer genomics
  • Demonstrated expertise in data integration and quantitative analysis methods such as machine learning, Bayesian statistics and other bioinformatics algorithms
  • Expertise across various biomarker assay platforms including genomics, epigenetics, and proteins
  • Extensive expertise in common NGS analysis tools and ability to develop and extend computational pipelines for WES/WGS, RNAseq, ChIP-seq and ctDNA
  • Proficiency in R, Matlab, Python and Linux cluster
  • High performance in independent work as well as in a team setting
  • Experience in single-cell data analysis and digital image analysis is a plus
