We are seeking a highly motivated person to join the biological sequence analysis group of Toby Gibson at EMBL to work on software tools and web resource development. The group develops and applies biological software tools in the analysis of protein data and is known as a co-developer of the widely used ClustalW alignment software. Our most important publicly accessible bioinformatics web server is the Eukaryotic Linear Motif resource, ELM (http://elm.eu.org/). The post holder will work in supporting and extending our resources including connections with other European resources. The Center for Immunology and Inflammatory Diseases and the Division of Rheumatology, Allergy and Immunology at the MGH is seeking an outstanding scientist to develop a rigorous independent research program in immunology. Applicants whose programs address any area of basic experimental immunology or translational human immunology are encouraged to apply. Areas of particular interest include single cell genomics and bioinformatics, B cell biology, tolerance, autoimmunity and allergy. The post-doctoral researcher will work directly on a project requiring interaction with other members of the Eng lab, members of the Genomic Medicine Institute’s clinical team, Dr. Grobmyer and his team in the Cleveland Clinic Breast Center. The successful candidate will conduct experiments and analyze data under Dr. Eng’s mentorship. The position will be affiliated with the Department of Physiology and Medical Physics and the RCSI Centre for Systems Medicine. The RCSI Centre for Systems Medicine is a translational research centre which identifies genes, proteins and metabolites implicated in human disease, and utilizes systems biology and mathematical approaches in order to develop new therapies and prognostic tools for the treatment of cancer, neurological disorders and diabetes.
