Job Description:
Develop, implement and maintain bioinformatics pipelines for the processing of large quantities of next-generation sequencing ( NGS ) data. Create computational approaches and analytical tools, and apply statistical methods, machine learning, and other advanced applications for the analysis of large-scale biomedical/sequencing data. Write computer programs to combine data from multiple resources, such as publicly accessible genomic databases, to allow data analysis and comparison. Assist in the design, development and maintenance of biomedical databases and data resources. Provide summaries of analyses for inclusion in scientific journals and presentations at scientific meetings.

Qualifications:

Requires a Master’s degree in Bioinformatics or other biomedical field and 3 years of experience. Experience must include working with high-throughput genomics/genotyping technologies, next-generation sequencing ( NGS ) data analysis, pathway analysis using tools such as DAVID , and public resources such as UCSC and TCGA , as well as Linux/Unix scripting, and Python and R coding.
