Job Description:
Applications are invited for a new post within the newly created Bioinformatics Unit at St George’s. The Bioinformatics Unit provides bioinformatics and programming expertise on a collaborative basis across the research institutes of the University. The new role will be able to engage in an exciting range of projects across both Infection and human health.

The position will collaborate with research scientists across the University associated Hospital and play a key role in developing the Bioinformatics Unit capabilities.

The successful candidate will have experience in bioinformatics and biological research computing with strong programming skills (e.g. Perl, Python, and/or R). Previous experience working with genomic data is required and knowledge/experience of developing automated pipelines would be advantageous.
