Job Description:
The Department of Neurology at UCSF is looking to recruit a faculty member at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. We are looking for faculty candidates with a strong background in bioinformatics, machine learning, and/or an interest in single cell genomics, and to have demonstrated significant achievement or promise in their field. An interest in neuroscience and/or cancer biology would be preferred, and bench space can be provided to support a wet lab program if needed. Candidates are required to hold a doctorate in informatics, computer science, epidemiology, biostatistics, or a related discipline with demonstrated experience/expertise in informatics. A primary affiliation with the Department of Neurology will be provided, along with co-appointments in the Eli and Edythe Broad Center of Regeneration Medicine and Stem Cell Research and the Institute for Computational Health Sciences. Candidates will be expected to teach and/or mentor graduate and medical students while developing extramurally-sponsored research programs.
