Job Description:
The research laboratory of Dr. Shaun Mahony, in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, seeks undergraduate student applicants for a 2018 Summer semester bioinformatics programmer position. Duties will include assisting in the development of bioinformatics applications for analyzing and visualizing large collections of genomic datasets. This part-time position is for up to 40 hours a week for 12 weeks. Expertise in Java programming and/or developing web applications is required. Experience with Linux preferred. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position has been filled.
