Job Description:
They are seeking a talented software engineer to develop bioinformatics tools for infectious disease applications. Are you a self-driven and adaptable software engineer who can address the demands of technology development, and software prototyping? Do you strive to create fast, elegant, and robust code that will solve interesting and challenging genetic analysis problems? Are you excited about working with a group of scientists and engineers to bridge the gap between genetic research and in-vitro diagnostics?

Responsibilities:

-Develop numerical and string algorithms for bioinformatics solutions in infectious disease applications.

-Collaborate with molecular biologists to build solutions for infectious disease applications.

-Collaborate with other software engineers and bioinformatics scientists to deliver best-in-class bioinformatics solutions and analytics.

-Utilize best practices in software engineering: design & planning, testing, code reviews, collaborative version control, continuous integration, etc.

Qualifications:

-Ph.D. in computer science, computational biology, bioinformatics or a related discipline.

-Proficiency in Python.

-Proficiency in C++.

-Experience in algorithm development & data analysis.

-Previous work with at least one NGS technology preferred.

-2+ years of experience in algorithms development preferred.

-Experience in infectious disease a plus.
